Limerick Corner – January 2026

We had lots of fun helping the library with the Light Up Akron celebration and enjoyed participating in the parade. We also received a few donations and would like to thank and greatly appreciate those who continue to support Friends of Limerick, Inc. each year: the Kreher Family, Bill and Marge Rebovich, and Brian and Jayne Perry.

We have two classes coming up soon. The first is January 31st from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Come learn some painting techniques as we decorate a wine bottle with a winter Valentine’s Day theme. The class is only $10 and makes a great light-up decoration for Valentine’s Day.

The second event is a kids’ craft party on February 7th from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Kids will sit at the school desks and make several Valentine crafts. We’ve picked out some fun activities, and this is a free event. Please register on our website at LimerickSchool.org or call 716-320-0512.

We will also be kicking off a new fundraiser to raise money for the landscaping project. We are selling bricks from the old chimney, each engraved with up to three lines of text. These bricks will be used around the flagpole and are a nice way to remember a loved one, promote your business, or display your family name. We have a limited number of original bricks available; once those are gone, newer bricks will be used if needed.
